Facts and Wrong Answers

Approved Facts

An AI answer can name you and still get you wrong: the wrong opening hours, an old price, a shop that closed. On the brand's Facts page you write down short, checkable facts a buyer may ask an AI about (opening hours, prices, locations, what you sell, who runs the company) and, optionally, the page that states each one, so whoever corrects a wrong answer knows where the truth is published. A brand can have up to 30 active facts.

How Answers Are Checked

  • After every check and weekly run, each answer that mentions you is compared with your active facts by an AI model. No credit is charged for it.
  • A statement is listed only when its exact words were found in the answer, so you can always see what was said.
  • If the comparison cannot run for an answer, the answer is marked "not checked"; the check itself is never failed because of it.
  • After you add or change a fact, Check stored answers against facts re-checks the newest 50 answers from the last 30 days that mention you. It is free, up to 3 times a day.

The Corrections List

Each wrong statement appears once per fact and engine, with the approved fact it contradicts, why it was flagged, the question, how many times it was seen and the pages that answer cited. A new wrong statement also raises a high alert in the app.

The Facts page: one wrong fact to correct; ChatGPT said Harbor Lane Coffee opens at 7:00, while the approved fact says every shop opens at 8:00; with the question, how often it was seen, the cited pages and a status.

Fixing the Source

  1. Check that your approved fact is still right; update it if it is not.
  2. Correct your own pages: the visible text and the structured data.
  3. Ask the sites the answer cited (directories, best-of lists, review sites) to correct their text.
  4. Run a check again to see what the engine says now, and set the status.
Sentiment is not accuracy: the "keyword sentiment" shown next to each answer counts positive and negative words in the sentences that name you. It is a rough signal, not a judgement of the facts.
