What AEO NIUEXA Does

AI Engine Optimization (AEO) is the work of making your pages easy for AI search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI features) to reach, read and quote. AEO NIUEXA does four things:

  • Scans score each page from 0 to 100 across six dimensions and explain every check that failed, with how to fix it.
  • What to do next ranks the fixes across your site and turns them into tickets for your developer or writer.
  • AI Visibility asks the AI engines the questions your buyers ask and records whether the answers mention you, cite your pages or get your facts wrong.
  • Auto-Fix applies common fixes with one script tag or a Cloudflare Worker, and gives you permanent versions to paste into your own templates.
What it can and cannot do: more people get answers from AI assistants, and those answers cite only a few sources. If crawlers cannot reach or read your pages, the answer cites someone else. AEO NIUEXA shows where you stand and what to change; it cannot guarantee that an AI answer will mention you.

AEO vs SEO

SEO works on ranking in search results. AEO builds on it and adds:

  • Being accessible - letting AI search crawlers and user-requested fetches reach your content (training crawlers are your own choice)
  • Being understood - helping AI extract accurate information
  • Being trusted - showing who stands behind the content and where its claims come from
  • Being cited - getting named and linked in AI-generated answers

Your First Result in Four Steps

  1. Create an account and confirm your email. Confirming your address adds your complimentary credits and unlocks API keys and connections to AI assistants.
  2. Run the free check. Can AI read my site? tests one page with no sign-up and no credits: robots.txt by crawler purpose, how your server answers crawler names, readable text in the first HTML, and snippet controls.
  3. Scan your home page. Open New Scan, enter your address and select the page. Each analyzed page costs 1 credit; the cost is shown before you start.
  4. Read "What to do next". Your site dashboard ranks the fixes and lets you copy each one as a developer ticket. See Site dashboard and what to do next.

New accounts see these steps as a checklist on the dashboard until they are done. After your first scans, the dashboard shows the health of all your sites and the top fixes across them.

The dashboard: portfolio health with the average of each dimension, and the top fixes across your sites.
The dashboard after the first scans: average by dimension, and the most important fixes across all your sites.

What Happens During a Scan

Each page goes through the same steps. Results are grouped into six dimensions: Technical, Structural, Content, Performance, Media and AI-Specific.

1. Fetching the page

We fetch the page, its robots.txt, sitemaps and headers. A page that refuses our request (a firewall, CDN or bot challenge) is marked "could not test" where that applies, never "blocked": our scanner is not the crawler the site serves.

2. Technical and structural checks

Crawler access by purpose, indexing and snippet settings, canonical, sitemaps, HTTPS, headings, structured data and semantic HTML.

3. Content review

Text checks and an AI review of how clearly the page answers questions, who stands behind it and whether its claims are sourced. If every AI content check fails on our side, the page is free and the report says so.

4. Speed

A Google PageSpeed lab test. Without PageSpeed data the Performance dimension is "not measured" and left out, never counted as zero.

5. Score

Each applicable check counts by its importance and by how well the evidence supports it. Checks that do not apply, or that we could not test, are left out; unproven checks are shown but not scored. See Scoring system.

Running a Scan

One page

Several pages
1 credit per page
Select the pages you want; the site dashboard ranks what to fix across them

How to run a scan

One page and several pages use the same flow. Finding the pages is free; only the pages you select are charged.

  1. Open New Scan from the navigation
  2. Enter your website address and choose Continue to page selection
  3. We list the pages we find on your site (up to 200); this uses no credits
  4. Select pages by hand or with Quick selection (Top 10, Top 25, Critical pages, All affordable); the credit summary shows the cost and your balance after the scan
  5. Start the analysis and follow the progress screen; you can leave it, the scan continues and the results are saved
  6. One page opens its report; several pages open the site dashboard
The New Scan page: a website address field, the available credits and the three steps Discover, Select and Analyze.
New Scan: discovering pages is free; you pay only for the pages you select.
After a fix: re-scan one affected page to confirm the check passes, then select the other pages it touches. A page is identified by its address without tracking parameters, so a re-scan updates the same page.

Credits

Paid actions use credits, and each one shows its cost before you start it. A page scan costs 1 credit per analyzed page and an AI Visibility check 10 credits. The free check, page discovery, the AI chat and recommendations use no credits; some of them have daily limits.

English or Italian

The interface is available in English and Italian. Use EN · IT in the menu or the footer; when you are signed in, the choice is saved to your account, and you can also set it under Profile → Edit profile. Pages written in Italian are scanned with Italian wording rules, for example the reading level uses the Gulpease index. Emails and the legal pages are in English.
